Hi, I'm Coach Abby! I have spent the majority of my RD career working with athletes and individuals with eating disorders and have also worked with endurance athletes. I most enjoy working with high school/youth athletes, female athletes, endurance athletes and athletes with disordered eating.
RDKate has a proven track record of helping athletes reach their goals, and I am excited to join in that work. I am a registered sports dietitian, but I am also sometimes called a sports nutrition consultant, sports dietician or sports nutritionist.
Growing up, I ran cross country and track, and I continued my athletic career at the collegiate level as a track and field sprinter. I have seen the power of nutrition in improving my own performance by addressing nutrient deficiencies and adjusting nutrient timing. I have also been inspired by the struggles of my teammates to work with those struggling with eating disorders and help them have a healthy relationship with food and movement. Since college, I have traded the shorter sprints for longer distances, and I have completed half and full marathons. As a sports dietitian and RDKate coach, I work to combine my knowledge of evidence-based sports nutrition practice with a flexible approach that helps you fuel for performance without dieting or cutting out foods.

"I have been working with Coach Abby for the past six months. During that period, we had two video sessions each month. In each session we set nutrition/hydration goals for hard and easy training days (before, during, and after training) as well as for race, recovery and rest days. We also reviewed the performance in the preceding weeks and made necessary adjustments. Overall, it was a great experience, which ultimately made running more enjoyable. And that comes from a person who runs four marathons per year."
